Employers’ Liability Cover

This policy offers protection to employers for their legal liability (under Common Law), for damages and claimant’s costs and expenses of lawsuits filed by an employee. Under this policy, employer's liability comes in when an employee is awarded damages against his employer for negligence that results in accidental bodily injury or disease. Conversely, the WIBA cover pays the costs of the injury without assuming any liability on the part of the employer. It is strongly recommended that the Employer’s Liability insurance is arranged alongside a WIBA cover. This is due to the fact that this insurance is meant to cover the employer for damages that are in excess of the provisions of the WIBA policy.
