Dr. Munene Laiboni is an astute business leader with over 15 years of experience in Insurance Operations, Business Development, University Level Teaching, and Executive Management.

Dr. Laiboni holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya, an MBA in Finance from the Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA, and a BSc. in Actuarial Science from Maseno University, Maseno, Kenya.
He started his career as a General Insurance Underwriter at Heritage Insurance Company. He later served Liberty Life Assurance Kenya Limited as a Financial Advisor.

Dr. Laiboni has a deep passion for Insurance and Risk Management and is actively involved in research projects that seek to develop novel finance & insurance products, finetune existing finance & insurance solutions, and deepen the region’s insurance sector. He believes that proactive development & refinement of insurance products and promotion of insurance uptake is absolutely necessary for the stability and prosperity of persons, businesses, and economies.

He also teaches Masters and PhD courses on Risk Management, Finance, and Econometrics at KCA University.
