Contractors’ All Risks Insurance
Contractors' all risks (CAR) insurance is an insurance policy that provides coverage for property damage and third-party injury or damage claims, the two primary types of risks on construction projects.
Contractors’ Plants and Machinery Insurance
This policy covers the contractor for loss or damage to contract works, contractors’ plant and machinery, and material on site that may occur during construction. Additionally, the policy will extend to cover third-party injury or damage claims.
Erection All Risks Insurance
This insurance covers losses arising out of the erection and installation of machinery, plant and steel structures, including physical damage to the project, equipment and machinery, and liability for third-party bodily injury or property damage arising out of these operations.
Electronic Equipment Insurance
This policy offers coverage against accidental loss or damage to electronic equipment, from computers and laptops to electronic accessories. The sum insured should be equal to the new replacement value of the item insured.
Machinery Breakdown Insurance
This policy covers machinery breakdown arising from unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage. It provides cover for plant machinery and mechanical equipment at work, at rest or during maintenance operations.
Machinery Breakdown and Loss of Profit Insurance
Machinery Loss of Profits insurance provides cover for the actual loss of gross profit sustained as a result of a business interruption caused by an accident indemnifiable under machinery insurance.
Machinery Breakdown and Deterioration of Stock Insurance
Deterioration of stock insurance is a policy that covers damage to goods stored in specified cold storage spaces, which occurs because of a change in temperature caused by a breakdown of the refrigeration equipment or accidental damage to it.
Boiler and Pressure Vessel Insurance
This insurance covers boiler and pressure vessels explosion or collapse in the course of ordinary working and seeks to indemnify the insured against damage to the insured’s boiler and or other pressure plant, damage to surrounding property of the insured, Legal liability to third parties of the insured on account of bodily injury, fatal and or non-fatal to the person, and damage to the property of third parties.
