This is an insurance package that is designed to cover your residence, its contents, your portable items, and personal liability. It is a versatile policy that caters to our clients’ various insurable interests in the following aspects:This is a handy policy that ensures you are covered in the following aspects:

Part A: Building

This part covers a private dwelling house; including domestic servant quarters, walls, and gates.

Part B: Contents

This part caters to the contents of your house: furniture, household items & electronics, the insured’s fixtures & fittings, and any describable personal effects. In cases of rented premises, the landlord’s fixtures and fittings are excluded since you have no insurable interest in them.

Part C: All Risks

This part provides cover in respect to specified portable and valuable items, which are carried outside the house. Items under this section would include mobile phones, Cameras, Sporting Equipment, tablets, laptops, jewellery, and watches.

Part D: WIBA

This part covers domestic servants such as house helps, watchmen, gardeners and drivers in respect of injury, death or disease arising out of and in the course of employment. The cover is mandatory for all employers as per the Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA).

Part E: Owners’/Occupiers’ Liability Section

This section covers liability either as an owner or an occupier of the premises to third parties, for damage to third party property or death/injury to third parties arising out of your use of the premises.

Cover can be arranged for either all or any of the above parts, as desired.

Scope

The Domestic Package insurance policy is designed to indemnify our clients against losses that are occasioned by:

  • Fire (Parts A, B, and C)
  • Theft (Parts B and C)
  • Accidental damage (Parts A, B and C)
  • Occupational accidents (death or injury to the servants as per the Workmen’s Compensation Act) (Part D)
  • Liability to third parties (Part E)
